Hiring Property Accounting/Finance Professionals for the Private Sector

Purpose: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Client Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting, particularly in managing financial accounts for commercial assets. You will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and reporting on all financial aspects of client property portfolios, including rent, service charges, and other operational costs.

Summary:

This role sits within the Business Space Client Accounting team, offering a great opportunity in the property management industry to grow and engage with key commercial portfolios.

Responsibilities:

1. Reporting to clients with standard and bespoke reports, ensuring all SLAs and KPIs are met.
2. Ensuring accurate reconciliation of service charge income and expenditure.
3. Serving as the point of contact for client queries, providing support and advice.
4. Collaborating with surveying colleagues to meet all client deliverables.
5. Maintaining property and lease data on financial databases.
6. Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required.
7. Managing client and property cash flows and funding.
8. Conducting annual property service charge reviews and liaising with Asset Managers and Service Charge Teams.
9. Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
10. Attending client and internal meetings as needed.
11. Instructing Treasury on collection of monies, account amendments, and transaction payments.
12. Handling general maintenance of client funds, such as tenant refunds.

Additional skills and qualities include:

• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical skills related to ledgers.
• Experience in property transactions is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel.
