Job summary

Addington Ball is seeking a Client Accountant to look after a small portfolio of clients, supporting daily banking, year-end accounts, and management reports, while helping clients grow their businesses.

You will be AAT qualified or on ACCA/ACA path, with experience in practice, and you’ll use Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks. The role offers funded study support, progression, 23 days holiday, and a friendly, inclusive culture in Bromsgrove.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or studying ACCA/ACA with previous experience of Financial Accounts / Year-end Accounts from within practice
• Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks etc.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work towards deadlines
• Curious, proactive, and eager to build long-term client relationships

Responsibilities

• Support and manage a small portfolio of clients
• Preparation of consolidated accounts for small, medium and Ltd companies
• Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow reports
• Manage personal finances, payments, reconcile accounts, and oversee day-to-day banking
• Handle VAT and corporation tax returns with accuracy and insight
