ABM Facility Services UK are recruiting Cleaning/Waste Operatives on a full-time permanent basis for a client in the Wynyard area. The role involves working in a warehouse, delivering high standard janitorial and waste removal tasks as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

You will use walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, handle waste streams, and adhere to health and safety policies. Training will be provided; a DBS check is required and a willingness to undergo testing.

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in DBS check and random drug/alcohol testing.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsabilités

• Perform janitorial and waste removal duties in a warehouse setting, both internally and externally.
• Provide high standard janitorial service in welfare areas, such as washrooms, break rooms, canteen, reception, offices, and production areas.
• Handle on-site waste via approved streams and ensure it is prepared for transportation.
• Operate walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers; keep equipment clean and safe.
• Be responsive to spillages and client callouts on site; communicate with team and line manager.
• Wear PPE and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
• Work on your own initiative as well as in a team; maintain good communication with colleagues and client staff.
• Undergo full training on all cleaning methods and equipment; training will be provided.
