Job summary

Sanctuary Group in the Telford area is seeking a Cleaning Technician to join our Property Services team. The role covers communal areas in blocks of flats across Telford, Newport and Ketley, with travel between sites required. You will perform general cleaning tasks to a high standard, ensuring hygiene and safety at all times.

The role is 24.5 hours per week, paying £12.71 per hour. The full-time equivalent salary is £26,436 per annum based on 40 hours per week, and benefits include a pension,

Qualifications

• Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is essential.
• British Institute Certificate in cleaning services.
• Some practical experience operating cleaning machinery.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Full valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting and bathroom cleaning.
• Identify and report hazards or faults to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide accurate progress information on allocated work.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stock levels kept.
• Deliver a professional, courteous, customer-friendly approach.

Telford and Newport area

£12.71 per hour

24.5 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Cleaning Technician to join our Property Services team, based in Ketley . You will be working in communal areas in blocks of flats in Teford and Newport as well as an office in Ketley carrying out general cleaning duties. In this role you will be responsible for basic cleaning including but not limited to vacuuming, sanitising surfaces and cleaning communal areas within Teford and Newport area, therefore travel is required between sites.

The role of Cleaning Technician will include:

• General cleaning duties will include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of bathroom and sweeping walkway ensuring leaves and debris are removed
• Identifying and reporting potential hazards or faults on site, to maintain a safe environment
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of allocated work
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a good, workable condition and stock levels are maintained
• Providing a professional, courteous and customer friendly approach to all working tasks

Skills and experiences:

• Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is essential
• British Institute Certificate in cleaning services
• Some practical experience in operating cleaning machinery
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
