Cleaning Team Leader

Location: Oldham College, Oldham
Salary: £12.84 - £13.47 per hour (FTE £24,484-£25,674 p.a.)
Hours: Flexible – Choose from shifts to suit your availability

Join Our Team – Permanent Cleaning Team Leader Role

Oldham College is a leading further education provider in Greater Manchester, committed to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff. To support our vibrant campus, we’re looking for reliable and hardworking Cleaning Team Leaders to join our team on a permanent contract basis.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide an excellent quality, flexible, responsive and customer focused cleaning service across all college and university buildings including all fixtures and fittings.
  • Be responsible for a team of cleaners who will carry out essential cleaning tasks, keeping all areas spotless and hygienic
  • Carry out audits and quality checks to monitor cleaning standards and use performance management tools when appropriate.
  • Deliver training to support cleaner development and continuous improvements in service.
  • Ensure that the cleaners follow Health & Safety guidelines, including COSHH, when handling cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Monitor stock levels for consumables, ensuring that the team has access to materials as needed.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Management team
  • Be a friendly and professional presence on campus

  • Someone with good people skills and cleaning experience that is already in, or ready for the move up to, a management role.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to lead others to deliver a high quality service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
