Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead a cleaning team and uphold service standards for a valued UK client. You will oversee routine, planned and periodic cleaning tasks, ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule.

The role emphasizes staff development, training, EHS and GMP compliance, stock control and procurement of supplies, with a focus on resolving issues promptly and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a cleaning team.
• Experience delivering cleaning services in a professional working environment.
• Good communication and people-management skills.
• Ability to work to schedules and use your own initiative.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements; EHS and GMP experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the cleaning team, ensuring staff understand and work in accordance with their task schedules.
• Support the recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of cleaning colleagues.
• Monitor cleaning standards and ensure all work complies with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and GMP procedures, rules and guidelines.
• Provide technical training when required and ensure the correct health and safety procedures are followed.
• Distribute uniforms, monitor the use of cleaning materials, maintain stock levels and order supplies as needed.
• Resolve operational issues promptly and professionally, referring matters to the line manager where appropriate.
