Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor for Cross Hands to lead a team and maintain high standards of cleanliness across county premises. The role is permanent term-time with 15 hours weekly and an hourly rate of £13.80–£14.25.

The Cleaning Service provides an essential service throughout the County of Carmarthenshire.

The team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the County’s premises including office buildings, residential homes, and commercial facilities to ensure people can live and work in a clean and safe environment.

Our service needs a reliable and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to assist the Area Cleaning Manager. Our ideal candidate will already have experience in a cleaning role, be able to work with and manage a team of people, have a keen eye for detail and take pride in ensuring that all areas are spotless and free of clutter.

As a Cleaning Supervisor, your duties will include training, overseeing, and coordinating the cleaning staff to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will also be responsible for maintaining the equipment, replenishing cleaning products and handling any customer feedback in a professional and effective manner.

You will also need:

  • A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility and the willingness to assist with other cleaning requirements.

An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk

Level 1 - You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level..
