Job summary

South Yorkshire Police is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to manage cleaning operations across multi-site locations in Carbrook. This permanent role offers 18.5 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £28,914 - £31,749. The ideal candidate has COSHH training, multi-site experience, and a full driving licence.

You will supervise staff, ensure security standards, and assist in developing new cleaning methods while attending training courses. Flexible shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial cleaning and working to specifications.
• 764/1 & 764/2 qualification or equivalent and BIC’s Trained.
• COSHH awareness and multi-site location experience.
• Full driving licence and computer skills (Word/Excel).
• Good written and oral communication; willing to work unsociable hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational cleaning to required specification across South Yorkshire Police sites.
• Supervise cleaning staff to ensure security at each location.
• Develop and implement new cleaning methods; attend training courses.
• Provide emergency cover and transport for staff shortages, including other regions.
• Any other duties as required.

Contract Type: Permanent In this role you will be responsible for implementing and developing cleaning operations at multi-site locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the provision of operational cleaning to the required specification, within a specific geographical area throughout South Yorkshire Police.
• Supervise cleaning staff to ensure that the security requirement of each location is adhered to by the clearing work force.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new methods, attending development and training courses.
• Provide emergency cover and transport in case of staff shortages, including cover for other Cleaning Supervisors geographical areas in their absence.
• Any other duties and responsibilities, which do not change the character and purpose of the posts as may be required.

Skills And Experience

• Industrial Cleaning Work History.
• Experience of working to specifications.
• 764/1 & 764/2 qualification or equivalent and BIC’s Trained.
• Trained in Chemical identification (COSHH) and experience of working and controlling multi-site locations.
• Hold a full Driving Licence and experience of using computer packages such as Word and Excel.
• Good communication both written and oral, and willing to work unsociable hours as required.

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity.
