Job summary

Thorn Baker Construction is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor for a single site in the LS9 area of Leeds. The role is permanent and site-based, with a standard Monday to Friday pattern plus Saturday shifts.

You will lead a small team of four cleaners, supervise day-to-day operations and ensure the site meets high cleaning standards. The ideal candidate has prior Cleaning Supervisor or team-leader experience, strong people management and a proactive, hands-on approach to operation management.

• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.

• Good organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to managing a cleaning operation.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and cleaning best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day cleaning operation across the site.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of 4 cleaners.
• Ensure all areas are maintained to high cleaning standards.
• Carry out regular quality inspections and audits.
• Manage rotas, holidays and staff cover.
• Train new starters and support ongoing development.
• Maintain stock levels and order cleaning consumables.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Build positive relationships with the client and respond to operational needs.

Are you an experienced Cleaning Supervisor looking for a stable, site-based role where you can lead your own team and make a real impact? Do you enjoy maintaining high standards, supporting your team, and delivering an excellent cleaning service?

We are recruiting for a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleaning operation at a single site in the LS9 area of Leeds.

Your Role

• Supervising the day-to-day cleaning operation across the site

• Leading, motivating and supporting a team of 4 cleaners

• Ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest cleaning standards

• Carrying out regular quality inspections and audits

• Managing rotas, holidays and staff cover

• Training new starters and supporting ongoing development

• Maintaining stock levels and ordering cleaning consumables when required

• Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times

• Building positive relationships with the client and responding to any operational requirements

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm

• Saturday: 8:00am - 2:00pm
