Job summary

Eric Wright Group is recruiting a part-time Cleaning Supervisor for Highfield Leadership Academy in Blackpool. You will supervise cleaning of designated areas, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment, with duties including moving items of furniture and adhering to safety regulations.

The role runs term-time only (with 4 weeks deep clean), 3:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, total 15 hours weekly. DBS enhanced disclosure is a requirement.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar supervising/cleaning role.
  • Ability to motivate and coach a cleaning team.
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying litter bins, polishing and dusting designated areas and fittings.
  • Move furniture as required.
  • Comply with Health and Safety at Work Act, regulations and company instruments.
  • Relieve and assist in other establishments when needed.
  • Attend meetings and respond to incidents, accidents or irregularities.

We are looking to recruit a Cleaning Supervisorto join our existing facilities team working at Highfield Leadership Academy in Blackpool. The Academy provides a safe, modern working environment for pupils, staff, and our team. Reporting to the Area Cleaning Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising and undertaking the cleaning of designated areas within each property ensuring they are kept in a clean and hygienic environment.

The role is term time only (with 4 weeks deep clean), hours 3.00pm until 6.00pm Monday to Friday (15 hours per week).
What You’ll Do

Additionally, you will be involved in numerous tasks including but not limited to:

  • Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bin, polishing and dusting of the designated areas (which may include toilets and shower areas), and fixture and fittings, using where appropriate, powered equipment.
  • Movement of items of furniture.
  • All duties must be carried out to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act; Acts of Parliament, statutory and company instruments and regulations and other legal requirements.
  • Relieve and assist in other establishments in certain circumstances.
  • Attending and taking all necessary action, statutory and otherwise in the event of accident, fire, loss, theft, lost property, damage, unfit food or other irregularities and complete the necessary return and/or reports.
  • Attending meetings as requested.
  • Duties may vary between term and closure periods.
  • Practically covering cleaning roles when absences cannot be covered by the Relief cleaning operative.
  • Following COSHH guidelines when carrying out your duties using cleaning chemicals
  • Ensuring all cleaning materials and stock are at optimum levels.
  • Other duties as requested by senior management.
