Job summary

Totally Local Company is hiring a cleaner to join the Cleaning Team based at Overdale centre in Stockport. This on-site role is 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 06:00–08:00, offering a permanent/part-time arrangement and an opportunity to contribute to community facilities.

No experience is required; you will learn to use cleaning equipment safely and uphold high standards while representing TLC in the community.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Based at Overdale centre in Stockport.
• Early morning shifts: 06:00–08:00, 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• You'll use equipment, machinery and cleaning materials safely and in accordance with safe working practices to carry out your duties.
• You'll check and report any faults with equipment, machinery or the building itself to the mobile supervisor, describing the fault fully.
• You'll maintain good working relationships with clients and deal with minor queries or complaints, relaying significant issues to the Mobile Supervisor.
• You'll participate in staff training programmes and carry out duties in line with the Authority’s Health and Safety Policy.
• You'll perform any additional duties related to the work of the section as required.
• Annual Leave and public holiday entitlement included in salary.

What you will be doing in this role

• You'll use equipment, machinery and cleaning materials effectively, efficiently and in accordance with safe working practices to carry out your duties.
• You'll check and report any faults with equipment, machinery or the building itself, to the mobile supervisor describing fully the nature of the faults.
• You'll maintain good working relationships with clients and deal with any minor queries or complaints, and to relay any significant customer issues to the Mobile Supervisor for further action.
• You'll participate in staff training programmes and to carry out all duties in a responsible manner with due regard to the Authority’s Health and Safety Policy.
• You'll perform any additional duties related to the work of the section appropriate to the post, as and when required.
