Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting for a Cleaning Operative at Thermo Fisher Crawley, Woodside Industrial Estate Unit 1, Bishop's Stortford CM23 5RG. Join a team maintaining clean, safe, welcoming environments and receive full training.

Qualifications

• Experience working as part of a cleaning team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience working in a standards or compliance environment.
• Strong understanding of hygiene, safety and cleanliness.
• Ability to follow procedures and site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean allocated areas efficiently and to the required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks.
• Follow cleaning procedures, site rules and relevant client requirements.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and in line with COSHH requirements.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment following appropriate training.
• Report faulty equipment immediately and ensure it is not used.
• Use appropriate safety signage, including wet floor signs.
• Keep cleaning stores clean, tidy and equipment stored safely.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance, including wearing the required uniform.
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and report when supplies need replenishing.
• Report hazards and potential Health & Safety concerns to your Supervisor or Manager.
• Attend required training courses and meetings.
• Provide cover in other areas during sickness and holidays when requested.
• Follow Sodexo policies, client site rules and statutory Health & Safety requirements.
• Comply with GMP and GxP practices, SOPs and required training.
• Complete mandatory training within the required timescales.
• Report and take appropriate action in the event of accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage or other incidents.
• Respond positively to reasonable management requests.
