Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is seeking a reliable Cleaning Operative to join our team at a prestigious corporate client site in Stevenage. You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across the site, performing a variety of cleaning duties, including deep cleaning floors and communal areas, using specialist equipment, and adhering to training and safety requirements.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, independent work when needed and strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Carry out deep cleaning across floors, corridors, washrooms, lifts, stairwells, changing rooms and other designated areas.
• Clean surfaces, doors, walls, skirting boards and high-touch areas to maintain excellent standards.
• Operate specialist cleaning equipment, including outdoor floor-cleaning machinery and indoor ride-on machines, following appropriate training.
• Undertake additional duties such as window cleaning and working at height, where required and subject to appropriate training and authorisation.
• Follow cleaning schedules, health and safety procedures and client requirements.
• Work efficiently, manage daily tasks and minimise disruption to building occupants.
• Report hazards, maintenance issues and any concerns to the relevant team.

You'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment, carrying out a variety of cleaning duties across the site. From deep cleaning floors and communal areas to operating specialist cleaning equipment, you'll help ensure our high standards are consistently maintained.

What you'll do
