Job summary

Sodexo Ltd in Llanrwst is hiring a Cleaning Operative to join our school site at Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, hygienic environment and delivering reliable cleaning services for staff and pupils.

You will carry out routine cleaning tasks, follow COSHH rules, use approved products, and work 20 hours a week at £12.71 per hour. Applicants with prior cleaning experience and a professional, team-focused approach are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning tasks at the scheduled time, following all relevant policies, procedures and COSHH requirements.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across communal areas, classrooms, offices, toilets, changing rooms and specialist spaces.
• Empty bins, collect and move refuse, and restock consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet tissue.
• Use only approved cleaning products, equipment and materials safely and efficiently, in line with training provided.
• Undertake cleaning duties safely, using PPE and hazard signage where appropriate.
• Clean floors, furnishings, equipment, windows and mirrors to the required standard.
• Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests on site when required.
• Be courteous, helpful and efficient, ensuring excellent customer care for staff, pupils and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with other cleaning staff to maintain consistent standards across the school.
• Take reasonable steps to minimise loss or damage to property and maintain a safe working environment.
