Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a Cleaning Operative at Rathmore Grammar School in Belfast. This part-time role covers 14 hours per week with afternoon shifts, offering a reliable and conscientious individual a chance to maintain a clean, safe learning environment for pupils and staff.

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable, professional and responsible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, washrooms and other facilities.
• Follow cleaning schedules and maintain high standards.
• Safely use cleaning equipment and products per procedures.
• Maintain hygiene throughout the school.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish cleaning supplies when required.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Work as part of a team to maintain a safe learning environment.

Sodexo is looking for a reliable and conscientious Cleaning Operative to join our team at a busy school environment.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school, helping to provide a safe, welcoming and well-presented environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

What you'll do:

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, communal areas, washrooms and other school facilities

• Follow agreed cleaning schedules and ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard

• Safely use cleaning equipment and products in line with procedures

• Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the school

• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately

• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when required

• Report any maintenance issues, hazards or concerns promptly

• Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH and school-specific procedures

• Work as part of a team to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment

What you'll bring:
