Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Casual Cleaning Operative for a site in Dalston, Carlisle. The role is casual with hours per week as required and a paying rate of £13.45 per hour. You will be part of a team delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across designated areas on site.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience would be beneficial
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment would be advantageous
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety would be beneficial
• An NVQ/BICSc cleaning qualification would be advantageous but isn\'t essential

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of cleaning duties across designated areas, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks efficiently and within agreed timescales
• Clean and maintain communal areas, facilities and other allocated spaces to the required standard
• Use the correct cleaning methods, colour-coded equipment and materials for each task
• Safely use cleaning equipment, machinery and chemicals in accordance with your training
• Follow COSHH, Health & Safety and safe working procedures at all times
• Wear the correct PPE and take appropriate precautions to help prevent cross-contamination
• Use appropriate safety signage while cleaning, ensuring it is removed and stored safely when no longer required
• Keep cleaning equipment and tools clean, safe and well maintained
• Ensure cleaning cupboards and storage areas are kept clean, tidy and organised
• Identify and report building defects, damaged equipment or other issues that could affect safety or service delivery
• Complete any required cleaning records and documentation accurately
• Work flexibly to respond to changing priorities and additional cleaning requirements
• Work closely with colleagues to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for everyone on site
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required

What you'll do:

What you'll bring:
