Job summary

PSS Group in Barnard Castle is seeking a Cleaning Operative to deliver on-site cleaning to defined specifications while adhering to Health and Safety guidelines. The role includes performing scheduled tasks, keeping cupboards tidy, and reporting hazards to the Manager. You'll work Tue and Thu, 09:00–14:00 (5 hours per day), with no Sunday shifts.

Overtime and weekend cover may be required. Training is provided; uniform supplied; benefits include Online GP Service, Employee Assistance Program,

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are tidy and stocked.
• Report hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor.
• Provide clear handovers to colleagues.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.

Job description

• Tuesday & Thursday: 5 hours each day 09:00 – 14:00 hours
• No Sunday work
• £13.77 per hr(Specify hourly rate)

Cleaning Operative Responsibilities Include

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly

Ideal Candidate:

• Willing to support with overtime to cover staff sickness & Holidays
• Ability to follow instructions
• Polite and professional
• Willingness to learn
• Flexible and reliable willing to do overtime & weekends if required
• Experience preferred but full training provided
• Good self-presentation (uniform provided)
