Job summary

South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils (trading as South & Vale) are recruiting cleaners to maintain public toilets to a high standard, with a flexible hours system and a strong focus on safety and service quality.

Successful applicants will hold a full UK driving licence and have prior cleaning experience. Visitors must have the legal right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties as per a schedule in a professional manner and to the standards expected by the Council.
• Ability to work agreed shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays
• Awareness for Health and safety of using cleaning materials, COSHH (Training will be provided)
• Report any incidents or accidents or graffiti
• You may also be asked to unlock and lock toilets as part of your working pattern

About the role

The role of the cleaners is to undertake cleaning of the South and Vale public toilets to ensure a comprehensive cleaning service is provided in compliance with local procedures and service standards, agreed working practices and Health and Safety Regulations.

Essential criteria for the role (pull across the most essential qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience, not all of them)

• Ability to clean to a high standard in a timely manner
