Job summary

East Suffolk Services is hiring a Building Cleaning Operative to clean public toilets and office spaces in and around Felixstowe. You will contribute to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and welcome for all users, with travel within the local area during working hours.

The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work independently. Experience is welcome but not essential, with full-time contract and permanent status offered.

• Hours: 12 hours per week, 6 hours per day on a Saturday and Sunday

Your role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Building Cleaning Operative to join our team, cleaning public toilets and spaces in and around the Felixstowe area. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality cleaning services covering both public toilets and office spaces, helping to ensure our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who uses them.

You will play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness by:

• delivering a high-quality cleaning service across public toilets and office spaces as required
• ensuring health and safety compliance through the correct use of cleaning equipment and products
• taking pride in creating clean and well-presented environments
• due to the nature of the roles, candidates must be able to travel to and within the Felixstowe area efficiently within working hours.

What you will need:

• a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
• good general cleaning knowledge is desirable
• the ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
