Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Cleaning Manager in Chester to supervise and monitor cleaning services across the site, ensuring standards are met and KPIs achieved. You'll lead a team, manage training and performance, and coordinate with contracted vendors for window cleaning, hygiene, and pest control.

You will also drive health and safety checks, COSHH assessments, and the use of safe working practices, while maintaining stock of consumables and equipment and reporting site defects promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience managing cleaning teams and service levels across a site.
• Ability to conduct risk and COSHH assessments and ensure safe work systems.
• Proven track record in staff training and performance reviews within facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site meets cleanliness standards per Workbooks.
• Monitor cleaning services and contracted window cleaning, hygiene, and pest control.
• Provide advice on cleaning processes, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain positive team relationships and oversee training and appraisals.
• Ensure availability of cleaning consumables and equipment; report defects promptly.
• Review health and safety arrangements and ensure compliance with CBRE ISO 9002.
• Plan staffing to balance costs with service delivery; meet KPIs and contracts.

Ensure structures support peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recovery.• Ensure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams, ensuring post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place• Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and maintain effective relationships with key client contacts• Promote and maintain the core Values of CBRE• To review and develop training programme’s for cleaning staff, ensuring these reflect the requirements of contract• Ensure basic training needs are delivered, including toolbox talks to ensure that all staff are fully competent to undertake their roles• Manage teams in accordance with CBRE Procedures and Policies• Ensure compliance with and record keeping for CBRE ISO 9002 Quality Management System• Priorities and delegate reactive and planned tasks to the area team ensuring optimum levels of service delivery are being achieved and service level agreements and Key Performance Indicators are met, ensuring that the Concept system is updated in a timely manner and to the standard required by the workbooks• Advise the Site Manager on staffing
