Job summary

Churchill Group is seeking a Cleaning Duty Manager to lead a team of Cleaning Operatives across multiple rail sites between London and Kent. The role offers a salary of £33,500 – £35,000 per annum depending on experience, with a rail card and immediate start available.

You will drive high cleaning standards, oversee safety and training records, and report to the Account Manager while actively supporting recruitment and onboarding. This is a hands-on leadership position in our Transport Division.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role in cleaning or FM.
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety requirements; IOSH certificate preferred.
• Ability to maintain up-to-date training records and safety compliance.
• Must meet vetting requirements with a 5-year work history check.

Responsibilities

• Lead Supervisors and cleaning teams to meet high-quality service and safety standards.
• Ensure training records are up to date and compliant.
• Carry out daily quality audits and report findings to the Account Manager.
• Help recruit and onboard new team members when vacancies arise.
• Lead regular staff briefings and monthly safety discussions.

Are you a confident and supportive leader with a passion for high standards and team development? We’re looking for a Cleaning Duty Manager to join our Transport Division between London and Kent. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Cleaning Operatives helping maintain high cleaning standards across multiple rail sites and ensuring operations run smoothly.

As a Cleaning Duty Manager you will:

• Supporting and guiding Supervisors and cleaning teams to meet high-quality service and safety standards.
• Ensuring team members are trained in health and safety (including HSEQ and machinery use), and that training records are up to date.
• Carrying out daily quality audits and reporting findings to the Account Manager.
• Helping to recruit and onboard new team members when vacancies arise.
• Leading regular staff briefings and monthly safety discussions (toolbox talks).

As a Cleaning Duty Manager you’ll have:

• Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, ideally in cleaning, FM, or a similar operational setting.
• Knowledge of COSHH, Health & Safety, and (ideally) an IOSH certificate.
• A calm, organised approach with the ability to prioritise under pressure. A people-first mindset – you’re committed to supporting and motivating your team.
• Ability to meet vetting requirements, including a 5-year work history check.
