Job summary

Arete Learning Trust is recruiting a casual cleaner for Northallerton School & Sixth Form College in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. The role involves cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas, using standard cleaning routines and reporting issues when needed.

Hours are casual, on an as-needed basis, typically after school, Monday to Friday, with training provided and safeguarding checks required as part of the application process.

Job description

Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire – Northallerton School & Sixth Form College

This role will provide a high quality, effective cleaning service to ensure a clean and hygienic environment. The post is required to work with cleaning equipment and products which contain chemicals, but the necessary protective clothing will be provided.

Hours of Work: Casual (on an as needed basis) - working hours when called upon, Monday-Friday, 3.15-6.15pm, as required.

This is a physically demanding role that requires a "can do" attitude, attention to detail, and strong time management skills. You'll need to be self-motivated, efficient, and able to take pride in maintaining high cleaning standards – even when working independently.
