West College Scotland is seeking a Cleaning Assistant to join our Operations team in Clydebank. You will help deliver a high-quality cleaning service across college buildings, ensuring hygiene and safety standards.
The role is part-time (17 hours per week) with shifts Monday to Thursday 6am-10am and Tue-Fri 6am-9am, salary £25,501 to £25,967 pro rata per annum, reflecting annual incremental progression.
Grade 1: Salary £25,501 to £25,967 pro rata, per annum
(Initial salary placement will normally be on the first point of the scale and will increase by annual incremental progression)

The Cleaning Assistant will work with the Team Leader Operations in the delivery of a common, efficient, and cost-effective cleaning service and to achieve and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the College’s buildings. The successful candidate will clean as appropriate all surfaces, furnishings and fittings using the specified equipment and cleaning products.
You must have a basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act and have experience of providing cleaning services within a non-domestic environment. You should also have experience of using a variety of cleaning/equipment and products and be able to work unsupervised. The successful candidate should also have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, students, and members of the public.
