Job summary

Hoople is recruiting Cleaning Operatives to be based at Wigmore Primary School. You will perform a range of housekeeping duties to a high standard, including cleaning designated areas, floors, desks and welfare facilities.

Role is fixed-term until 31 December 2026, 10 hours per week, paid £12.76 per hour. Closing date 27 September 2026; interview date 5 October 2026. Based at Wigmore Primary School within Hoople’s facilities team.

Responsibilities

• Use of vacuum cleaners for carpets
• Clean desks and other furniture
• Clean kitchenettes
• Clean welfare facilities - washrooms
• Use and handling chemicals
• Empty waste bins, remove rubbish to collection areas

Hoople is looking to recruit cleaning operatives to be based at Wigmore Primary School.

As a Cleaning Operative, you will carry out a variety of housekeeping tasks, safely and professionally and to a high standard.

Your Day-to-day Duties Will Include

• Cleaning of designated areas within the school
• Mopping and sweeping floors
• Use of vacuum cleaners for the cleaning of carpets
• Cleaning desks and other furniture
• Cleaning of kitchenettes
• Cleaning of welfare facilities - washrooms
• Use and handling chemicals
• Empty waste bins, remove rubbish to collection areas
• Carrying out any other reasonable management requests
