Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a School Cleaner to join Team NPT at Tywyn Primary School, Port Talbot. The post is 13 hours per week during term time, with shifts on Monday and Tuesday 3:30pm–6:15pm, at £12.65 per hour. A competitive benefits package and an induction are provided.

The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure a safe learning environment, with DBS checks and safeguarding in place.

Qualifications

• High standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school to provide a safe learning environment.
• Term-time contract with 13 hours per week across 41 weeks per year.
• Full induction and training provided.
• DBS check and safeguarding procedures will be followed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of classrooms, corridors and facilities.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report any issues or hazards promptly.

We are currently looking for a School Cleaner to join Team NPT.

You’ll join our excellent cleaning team that was shortlisted for the Best Service Team category at the prestigious APSE Awards. The team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school to ensure pupils areable to learn in a clean and safe environment.

Some experience is necessary for the role, but all successful candidates will undergo a full induction and training programme.
