Job summary

Bradgate Education Partnership at Broomfield Primary School in Leicestershire is seeking a Cleaner for a permanent, part-time role of 10 hours per week during term time. Start date ASAP with applications closing on 11th September 2026.

You will join a supportive team dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors, following health and safety guidelines and working to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning in some capacity.
• COSHH knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to maintain high cleaning standards with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to keep the school clean, safe, welcoming and well-presented at all times.
• Carry out daily cleaning tasks: wipe surfaces, vacuum classrooms, clean toilets and replenish consumables.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school premises.
• Complete additional cleaning tasks on a weekly/monthly/ad-hoc basis as required.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment for pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to ensure the school environment is clean, safe, welcoming, and presented to a high standard at all times.
• Carry out daily cleaning duties, including wiping and sanitising tables and surfaces, vacuuming classrooms and other areas of the school, cleaning toilet facilities, and replenishing consumables.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school premises.
• Complete additional cleaning tasks on a weekly, monthly, or ad hoc basis as required.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate person.
• Take pride in helping to create a positive learning environment for pupils and staff.
