Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a School Cleaner at Melin Junior School, Neath. You will join a dedicated cleaning team responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school to ensure a safe learning environment.

The role is term-time, 12.25 hours per week, with induction and training provided and a Local Government Pension Scheme. A starting hourly rate around £13.27 is offered, with benefits including employee assistance and gym membership.

Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 6:00pm

Friday 3:30pm - 5:45pm

Location of post: Melin Junior School, Mile End Row, Neath, SA11 2ED

We are currently looking for a School Cleaner to join Team NPT.

You’ll join our excellent cleaning team that was shortlisted for the Best Service Team category at the prestigious APSE Awards. The team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school to ensure pupils are able to learn in a clean and safe environment.

Some experience is necessary for the role, but all successful candidates will undergo a full induction and training programme.
