Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking enthusiastic individuals to assist in preparing and serving healthy breakfasts and supervising pupils at primary schools across the county borough.

The role is 3.75 hours per week during term time, Monday to Friday 08:00–08:45, at Ysgol GG Castell Nedd, Neath SA11 3AL. You will work as part of the school catering team, handling food orders and preparation and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Assist in the preparation and service of healthy breakfasts.
• Adhere to Food and Health and Safety regulations and schedules.
• Enhanced Disclosure (DBS) clearance required.

Responsibilities

As part of the Welsh Assembly Government’s commitment to providing free, healthy breakfasts to children of primary school age we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to assist in the preparation and serving of healthy breakfasts and the supervision of pupils at various schools throughout the County Borough.

Duties and expectations:

• Work as part of the catering team within the school.
• Be responsible for the ordering and preparation of food and service of breakfast.
• Able to work in accordance with agreed schedules, comply with Food and Health and Safety Regulations and work to a high standard.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure (Child’s) from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
