Job summary

Clarion Housing Group in Birmingham is hiring a Cleaner for 20 hours per week at Hawthorne Court on a permanent basis. You will keep all communal areas well maintained, including kitchens and toilets, and ensure floors are vacuumed and mopped.

The role requires COSHH and health and safety awareness, safeguarding sensitivity, and a strong eye for detail. You may need to cover other schemes in the area; the post is subject to a Basic Criminal Record Check Clearance. Closing date 19 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning communal areas and general housekeeping.

Salary: £25,179 - £26,861 per annum pro rata

Hours: 20 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We are looking for a Cleaner to join us at our Over 55's sheltered accommodation / LiveSmart scheme.

• You will be responsible for keeping all communal areas of the scheme well maintained, including cleaning of the kitchen and toilets, keeping all floors vacuumed and mopped accordingly.
• You will have knowledge of COSHH, health and safety and an awareness of safeguarding and have excellent attention to detail.
