Job summary

Amey is seeking a Cleaner for the Northampton Schools Account at Duston Eldean Primary School, Northampton. The role is on-site with a 3-month fixed-term contract and a wage of £13.45 per hour.

Working hours are 15:30 to 18:45, Monday to Friday, supporting safe and clean learning environments. The successful candidate will deliver cleaning services, manage consumables, operate equipment safely, and contribute to carbon-reduction programs, while complying with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cleaner is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS check is required.
• Ability to work on-site at the school premises.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services to meet contractual requirements.
• Control stock levels and order consumables.
• Operative cleaning machinery safely per guidelines and training.
• Maintain high-quality service for building users at all times.
• Support local and business carbon-reduction programs where appropriate.
• Ensure health & safety standards are achieved across the contract.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Cleaner to Join our Northampton Schools Account in Duston Eldean Primary School, Main Road, Northampton NN5 6PP - This role will be based on site and will be a 3 month fixed term contract.

The salary is £13.45 per hour

The hours of work will be 15:30pm - 18:45pm Monday - Friday

Amey manages facilities for 42 Northampton schools, ensuring safe, clean, and compliant learning environments for students and teachers. We deliver 24/7 services with minimal disruption, working in partnership to maintain high standards

What you will do:

• Providing a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements
• Controlling stock levels and ordering consumables
• Operating machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
• Ensuring a high-quality service is provided to the building users at all times
• This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
• Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract
