Job summary

Horsted School is seeking a reliable Part-Time Cleaner to join our facilities team. You’ll work 10 hours a week, Monday to Friday 15:30–17:30, performing cleaning tasks and maintaining hygiene standards.

Duties include cleaning floors and rooms, dusting, mopping, emptying bins, restroom cleaning, restock sanitiser stations, and reporting defects. The role emphasises independence, attention to detail, and good communication with on-site staff.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or caretaking experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with on-site staff.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors and rooms: dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Empty bins, clean restrooms, and maintain sanitiser stations.
• Build relationships with clients on site and report defects.
• Follow health and safety practices at all times.

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean and organized spaces,who values responsibility and enjoys working on their own initiative.

You’ll be working 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 15:30 - 17:30.

• Cleaning floors and rooms including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Emptying bins, cleaning restrooms, and ensuring sanities stations are full.
• Building relationships with clients on site.
• Following health and safety at all times.
• Report any defects or damages.

Our Successful Candidate:

We will ideally be looking for you to demonstrate previous cleaning or caretaking experience in a previous role, alongside;

• Knowledge of basic site health & safety
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships with our clients on-site
• Confident working independently to your own initiative
• Good organisational skills, with attention to detail
