We are recruiting several reliable, hardworking cleaners through one vacancy, with a choice of shift patterns depending on availability.
This is a hands-on role covering production areas, the bakery, warehouse, offices, staff facilities, communal areas and other parts of the site. Previous food-manufacturing experience is not essential because full training will be provided.
Reports to: Hygiene Manager / Site Management
Unsuccessful applications and files are securely deleted after three months.
Available shift windows
- 2:00pm–8:00pm.
- 3:00pm–6:00pm.
- 5:00pm–8:00pm.
- 10:00am–8:00pm.
- Multiple permanent positions are available.
Key responsibilities
- Clean food-production and bakery areas, including floors, walls, work surfaces and equipment.
- Clean warehouse and storage areas, offices, toilets, staff welfare areas and communal spaces.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly.
- Complete scheduled daily, weekly and deep-cleaning tasks.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly, following COSHH instructions and site procedures.
- Maintain high hygiene standards throughout the shift and complete required cleaning records and checklists.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues and hygiene concerns.
- Restock cleaning materials and consumables.
- Help prepare production areas for the following shift or working day.
- Support periodic deep cleans and work alongside Hygiene, Bakery, Warehouse and Operations colleagues.
Food-manufacturing cleaning
- Follow food-hygiene requirements and correct food-contact-area cleaning methods.
- Use cleaning chemicals correctly and follow COSHH controls.
- Apply allergen-awareness and cross-contamination-prevention procedures.
- Wear the required PPE and use safe cleaning methods.
- Complete all provided training and follow site procedures consistently.

- Previous cleaning, food-manufacturing, hospitality, kitchen, factory or industrial-cleaning experience is helpful but not essential.
Physical requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, reaching and completing repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Moving cleaning equipment and working around manufacturing equipment.
- Working in wet-cleaning environments and wearing required PPE.
- Reasonable adjustments can be considered where appropriate.
What we offer
- £13.50 per hour during probation and training, increasing to £14.10 per hour on successful completion of both.
