Job summary

South West Norse is seeking a reliable Cleaner/Caretaker to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment. The role involves general cleaning and basic caretaking, with a 40-hour week and a salary of £29,825 per year.

The successful candidate will be well organized, diligent and able to work independently, following health and safety procedures and reporting maintenance issues as needed. DBS check will be required for the post.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Clean toilets, kitchens, communal areas and other facilities.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored safely.
• Carry out basic caretaking duties and report any maintenance issues, damage or hazards.
• Help keep outdoor areas, entrances and pathways clean and tidy.
• Carry out routine checks of the premises to ensure they remain safe and secure.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks where appropriate.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties relevant to the role.
