Job summary

University of Brighton at Falmer Campus is recruiting three cleaners to join the Estate and Facilities Management team. The role is 15 hours per week, with shifts Monday to Friday from 0600 to 0900, onsite at Falmer.

Cleaners will work alone or in small teams, using standard cleaning equipment and adhering to health and safety guidelines. The university offers generous annual leave and an attractive pension scheme. A uniform will be provided as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Ability to use standard cleaning equipment and follow Health and Safety guidance.
• Able to move, use and lift cleaning equipment and materials regularly.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small, friendly team to maintain a clean environment.
• Perform cleaning tasks during the specified 15 hours per week (0600–0900, Mon–Fri).
• Wear protective clothing/uniform as required by policy.

Role

Our Cleaners work flexibly as part of a small, friendly team and play a key role in ensuring a pleasant environment for staff and students. We currently have the following vacancies available:

15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0600 to 0900

To Excel In This Role, You Will Need

• To possess an ability to work alone or as a member of a team
• The ability to use standard cleaning equipment and possess an understanding of the importance of following Health and Safety instructions/guidance
• The ability to physically move, use and lift cleaning equipment and materials on a regular basis

You will be required to wear protective clothing/uniform in line with our uniform policy, details of which will be discussed at interview. In return, the university offers a generous annual leave package, including time off over Christmas, and an attractive pension scheme.
