Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a permanent cleaner to work Monday to Friday from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. The post involves cleaning all rooms, toilets, corridors, staircases (if applicable) and offices as directed by the Headteacher/Caretaker, with duties including reporting issues and completing timesheets.

The Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates and promotes a bilingual workforce, with opportunities for those able to work in both English and Welsh.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all work to the required standard, at the stated frequencies, and as instructed by the School / Caretaker.
  • Report to Caretaker any issues affecting work.
  • Work cooperatively with other cleaners at the school.
  • Comply with Council health and safety practices including COSHH.
  • Maintain storage lockers, cupboards and machinery clean and tidy.
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials in the prescribed manner and ensure safe usage and storage.
  • Complete required paperwork including timesheets.
  • Carry out other reasonable work instructions.

Job description

We are seeking a permanent cleaner to work Monday - Friday 3.00pm – 6.00pm Principal Accountabilities The range of work carried out by the cleaning staff covers the cleaning of all rooms, toilets, corridors, staircases (if applicable) offices and other such areas that are in use at the direction of the Headteacher/ Caretaker. You will be expected to:

1. Carry out all work to the required standard, at the stated frequencies, and as instructed by the School / Caretaker.

2. Report to the Caretaker anything that is likely to affect their work or anything they consider he/she should be aware of.

3. Work cooperatively with the other cleaners at the school

4. Comply with the Council’s health and Safety practices including COSHH

5. Maintain storage lockers, cupboards and machinery in a clean and tidy condition.

6. Use cleaning equipment and materials in the prescribed manner, accepting responsibility for the equipment used and ensuring its safe usage and storage.

7. Complete any required paperwork including timesheets.

8. Carry out any other reasonable work instructions
