Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Cleaner for St Hedda’s School, Egton Bridge, Whitby. You will join a dedicated team responsible for on-site cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming and sanitising sanitary fittings.

The role is 12.5 hours per week, usually after school hours (3.15pm to 5.45pm), term-time with two extra deep-cleaning weeks in school holidays. The position offers a competitive rate (£13.28 per hour) and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning environments preferred.
• Able to perform dusting, vacuuming and sanitary fittings cleaning.
• Term-time cleaning with additional deep cleaning periods during school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties on site including dusting, vacuuming and sanitising fittings.
• Work during term time plus 2 weeks deep cleaning in school holidays.
• Adhere to health and safety and on-site procedures.
