Job summary

Yorkshire Education Group is seeking a cleaner for the Estates department in Wakefield. The role runs 06:00–08:30, Monday to Friday, delivering cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for all building users.

You will dust, mop, vacuum, polish floors, and clean glass, with COSHH/Health & Safety training encouraged. Experience in cleaning is preferred, and training in COSHH and Health and Safety is available if not already held.

Qualifications

• Experience in general cleaning duties.
• Willingness to undertake COSHH and Health and Safety training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties to maintain a safe, hygienic environment.
• Dusting furniture and fittings; cleaning sanitary fittings; damp and wet mopping.
• Vacuuming carpets; use electrical carpet cleaner and scrubbing machines.
• Clean internal glass surfaces.

Job description

As a member of the Estates department, you will provide cleaning services to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all building users.

This will include carrying out the following cleaning duties;

• - General dusting of furniture and fittings
• - Cleaning of sanitary fittings
• - Damp and wet mopping
• - Vacuuming carpets
• - Cleaning carpets with an electrical carpet cleaner
• - Polishing and scrubbing floors using electrical scrubbing machines
• - Cleaning internal glass

We are looking for someone with previous cleaning experience and training in C.O.S.H.H. and Health and Safety, or a willingness to undertake this training.
