Job summary

Yorkshire Education Group is seeking a dedicated Estates cleaning operative to maintain a safe and hygienic environment across our sites. Shifts include early mornings and late afternoons: 06:30–08:30 and 16:00–18:30 on Mon, Tue and Thu; 06:30–08:30 and 16:00–18:00 on Wed; 06:30–08:30 and 15:30–17:30 on Fri.

You will perform dusting, cleaning of sanitary fittings, mopping, vacuuming, carpet care, floor scrubbing and glass cleaning, with COSHH and health and safety training encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and maintenance.
• Willingness to undertake COSHH and Health & Safety training.

Responsibilities

• General dusting of furniture and fittings.
• Cleaning of sanitary fittings and internal glass.
• Damp and wet mopping; vacuuming carpets.
• Carpet cleaning with electrical carpet cleaner; floor scrubbing with electrical machines.

06:30am to 08:30am & 16:00pm to 18:30pm – Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

06:30am to 08:30am & 16:00pm to 18:00pm - Wednesday

06:30am to 08:30am & 15:30pm – 17:30pm - Friday

As a member of the Estates department, you will provide cleaning services to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all building users.

This will include carrying out the following cleaning duties:

• General dusting of furniture and fittings
• Cleaning of sanitary fittings
• Damp and wet mopping
• Vacuuming carpets
• Cleaning carpets with an electrical carpet cleaner
• Polishing and scrubbing floors using electrical scrubbing machines
• Cleaning internal glass

We are looking for someone with previous cleaning experience and training in C.O.S.H.H. and Health and Safety, or a willingness to undertake this training.
