Job summary

Heart of Yorkshire Education Group is seeking a reliable cleaner for the Estates department. You will perform a range of cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment across school facilities, including dusting, sanitary cleaning, mopping and floor scrubbing.

The role requires prior cleaning experience and COSHH/Health & Safety training, or a willingness to undertake this training. Generous leave and structured shifts are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, dusting, sweeping and sanitising fixtures.
• COSHH and Health and Safety training completed, or willingness to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for building users.
• Dusting of furniture and fittings.
• Clean sanitary fittings and damp/wet mop floors.
• Clean carpets with appropriate equipment and scrub floors with machines.
• Clean internal glass surfaces.

Job description

06:30am to 08:30am & 16:00pm to 18:30pm – Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

06:30am to 08:30am & 16:00pm to 18:00pm - Wednesday

06:30am to 08:30am & 15:30pm – 17:30pm - Friday

As a member of the Estates department, you will provide cleaning services to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all building users.

This will include carrying out the following cleaning duties:

• General dusting of furniture and fittings
• Cleaning of sanitary fittings
• Damp and wet mopping
• Cleaning carpets with an electrical carpet cleaner
• Polishing and scrubbing floors using electrical scrubbing machines
• Cleaning internal glass

We are looking for someone with previous cleaning experience and training in C.O.S.H.H. and Health and Safety, or a willingness to undertake this training.
