Job summary

Aramark UK in Thirsk is hiring a Cleaner to help keep accommodation and sanitary areas clean, safe and well-maintained at Alanbrooke Barracks.

You will be assigned set areas, work mostly Mon-Fri, with training provided and opportunities for progression within the company. The role is part-time (15 hours per week) with a salary of £12.71 per hour and UK work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable, however full training will be given on site.
• Must have eligibility to work in the UK and reside for longer than 3 years. Security checks are required.

Responsibilities

• You will be assigned set areas/buildings, such as accommodation blocks, offices, workshops, Regimental Headquarters etc. You will ensure a high standard is maintained throughout and all cleaning tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• You will work alone but on occasion as part of a team, always ensuring all daily tasks are covered.
• Duties include general ablution and kitchen cleaning, sweeping, mopping, hoovering, waste disposal, and adhering to waste segregation requirements.
• Reporting hazards and checking equipment to ensure they are in good condition, reporting issues to management.

Pay: £12.71 per hour (£9,947.74 per annum)
Contract type: Permanent, part-time, 15 hours per week
Shift times: Mon to Fri, this role is flexible to fit within school hours

• Must have a reliable mode of transport due to the location of the site and limited public transport.
