Job summary

Aramark UK at Alanbrooke Barracks in Thirsk is seeking a Cleaner/Housekeeper for a 20‑hour weekly maternity cover from July 2026 to July 2027. The role involves maintaining cleanliness in accommodation and sanitary areas, with on‑site parking and access to gym facilities.

You’ll work mainly independently, with some team tasks, and training is provided. Eligibility to work in the UK with proper security checks is required; reliable transport is essential due to site location.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning in the Warrant Officers’ & Sergeant’s Mess
• Work independently, occasionally as part of a team, ensuring all daily tasks are covered
• Perform general ablution and kitchen cleaning, sweeping, mopping, hoovering, waste disposal, including waste segregation; make up bedrooms for guests
• Report hazards and check equipment, notifying management of any issues

Pay: £12.71 per hour (£13,263.65 per annum)

Contract type: Temporary, maternity cover from Jul 2026 to Jul 2027, 20 hours/week

Shift times: Mon–Fri, flexible to fit within school hours
