Job summary

St. Bernadette's Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy in Scunthorpe is seeking an enthusiastic cleaner to join our team, delivering high-standard cleaning across designated areas to support a safe, welcoming learning environment.

This maternity cover is part-time, 12.55 hours per week during term time, with an annual salary of £7,467 and access to Local Government Pension Scheme and CPD opportunities. Visits to our school are welcome; applications close 21 September 2026. DBS checks apply.

• Emptying litter and recycling bins, etc, and removing waste to designated areas.
• Cleaning of toilets and washrooms to the required standard where allocated.

About this Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team of dedicated cleaners who to do the very best for the school and the students within it, undertaking cleaning tasks to a high standard.

Key duties will include:

• Cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and vacuum cleaning of designated areas to the required standard.
• Emptying litter and recycling bins, etc, and removing waste to designated areas.
• Cleaning of toilets and washrooms to the required standard where allocated.

This is a maternity cover for up to 52 weeks, part-time role working for 12.55 hours per week on term time only basis.
