Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative for HMPPS Newbold Revel, Rugby. You will maintain high cleanliness standards across the site, contributing to health, hygiene and comfort for everyone on site.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work Monday–Friday, 06:30–14:30, at 37.5 hours per week. Training and uniform are provided, with free parking and site transport considerations noted.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential
• Able to work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
• Be a team player and take instruction

Responsibilities

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas as instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets and communal spaces are clean and presentable
• Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• Bedmaking/stripping, portering; experience in similar environment is desirable but not essential

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the everyone at site.

What you'll do:

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• Cleaning, bedmaking/stripping, portering, some experience in similar environment desirable but not essential
• This role requires you to have an approachable attitude

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!
