Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Weekend Cleaner for a Ministry of Justice site in Leamington Spa. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 07:00 to 11:00, totaling 8 hours per week.

You will help maintain a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment, ensuring safety and compliance across offices, kitchens and meeting rooms. The ideal candidate is reliable, with good communication skills, able to work alone or as part of a team, and willing to undergo BPSS checks and basic training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a corporate office environment.
• Good communication skills, clear and professional, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently using your own initiative while also collaborating with a team.
• Understanding of data protection and confidentiality; willingness to undertake training including first aid and security awareness.
• Willing to complete BPSS checks as required by our client.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across the site, including kitchens, meeting rooms, toilets and offices.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, sanitiser and towels.
• Follow Sodexo policies, infection control, site security and COSHH regulations; complete required trainings.
• Work safely by wearing PPE and following health and safety procedures.
• Report safety concerns or faulty equipment to your Line Manager promptly.
• Provide holiday and absence cover and support other floors as needed.

What you'll do:

• Work safely at all times by wearing the correct PPE and following health and safety procedures.
• Report any safety concerns, faulty equipment or maintenance issues to your Line Manager promptly.
• Take responsibility for your allocated cleaning areas while remaining flexible to support other floors and provide holiday and absence cover when required.

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a corporate office environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• The ability to work independently using your own initiative while also working well as part of a team, with good attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
• An understanding of the importance of data protection and confidentiality, with a willingness to undertake any additional training required, including first aid and security awareness.
• A willingness to complete the required security checks, including Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks, as required by our client.
