Job summary

Rochdale Council is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join Facilities Management at St. Thomas More RC Primary School, Middleton. You will work 15 hours per week from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, for a 52-week contract with holidays during school breaks.

The role requires a hardworking, energetic, and honest individual with excellent customer care and teamwork skills. Duties include toilet cleaning, mopping, glazing cleaning, vacuuming and operating scrubbers, driers, and buffing machines.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience is essential.

• DBS check, medical clearance and references required.

Responsibilities

• Clean toilets and general areas to a high standard.
• Mop floors and clean internal glazing; vacuuming.
• Use of equipment including scrubbers, driers and buffers.
• Work efficiently to tight timescales and within school hours.

£13.45 per hour

Facilities Management are looking to appoint a Cleaner to work at St. Thomas More RC Primary School, Middleton on behalf of the Governing Body of the School.

About the Role:

Your working week is 15 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday 3.00pm-6.00pm. This is a 52 week contract and holidays are to be taken in school holiday period. Hours maybe subject to change to meet the needs of the school service.

We are looking for someone who is hard-working, energetic and honest person with excellent customer care skills and the ability to provide a quality service within a busy school. The ideal person should have good attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team and be able to communicate clearly with and relate positively to all members of the school community. The ability to work alone to tight timescales is essential.

About You:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness around the school and duties will include toilet cleaning, mopping, cleaning of internal glazing, vacuuming, use of equipment include scrubbers driers and buffing machines.

Cleaning experience is essential, although persons with skills appropriate and a willing attitude are invited to apply.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service check, medical clearance and references.

Candidates who are unsuccessful after interview may be considered for Casual Cleaner positions within Facilities Management and further information will be provided.
