Lancashire County Council is advertising a part-time School Cleaner role at St Bede's Catholic High School, Ormskirk. 16 hours per week, Term Time only plus 5 weeks, to commence ASAP. Shifts are 15:30–18:45 Monday to Thursday and 15:30–18:30 Friday.

Salary £13.45 per hour. Responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, bin empties and washroom cleaning; some lifting and physical effort required. The post carries safeguarding requirements including a DBS check; equality of opportunity is promoted

We are seeking to appoint a school cleaner in this busy secondary school. General cleaning duties include vacuuming, dusting, emptying bins, cleaning washroom facilities etc. The job does involve some lifting and a moderate level of physical activity. The successful candidate must be able to use their own initiative and be able to respond proactively within their role.

The closing date is 9am on 25/09/2026. The interview date is W/C 28/09/2026. Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
