Job summary

Aldercar High School is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our site team. This 20-hours-per-week post is split 7:00–8:00 and 15:00–18:00, Monday to Friday, with 39 weeks per year. The role supports a clean, safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors under the Site Manager’s guidance.

You will use cleaning equipment safely, follow schedules, and contribute to high hygiene standards. Basic literacy and reliability are essential, with training provided as needed.

Aldercar High School is seeking a reliable, motivated Cleaner to join our friendly site team. You will play an important part in helping us maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. The post is for 20 hours per week, normally worked as a split shift of 7:00am to 8:00am and 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. We would also welcome applications from candidates who are only available to work the 3:00pm to 6:00pm shift.

About the Role

As a Cleaner, you will carry out a range of cleaning duties in line with agreed standards and schedules. This includes the safe and effective use of cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor machines, steam cleaners and carpet cleaners, as well as the safe handling of cleaning chemicals. You will work as part of a small, supportive team under the direction of the Site Manager.
