Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Cleaner to maintain a high standard of classroom and toilet hygiene in a comprehensive school setting in Hoveton. This on-site role requires attention to safety and cleanliness, with duties including routine cleaning, waste disposal, and upkeep of surfaces.

The ideal candidate will have previous cleaning experience in educational environments, knowledge of safe manual handling and cleaning chemicals, and an Enhanced DBS check for children.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check (children) required.
• Experience in cleaning in school or educational environment preferred.
• Knowledge of safe manual handling and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning of classrooms, toilets and communal areas.
• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and wiping surfaces.
• Empty litter bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are stored safely and used correctly.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning of classrooms, toilets, and communal areas.
  
• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
  
• Empty litter bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
  
• Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
  

Experience

• Previous experience undertaking general cleaning duties, ideally within a school or educational environment.
  
• Knowledge of safe manual handling and the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS required (children).
  

Additional Information

• Working hours: 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 15:30 to 19:30).
  
• Enhanced DBS required (children).
  
• This is an onsite role based in Hoveton.
