Job summary

Vertas is seeking a passionate Cleaner to join our Facilities Team at Saint John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy in Derbyshire. You will work 10.25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 15:30–17:30 (1 day finishes at 5:45 PM) for 40 weeks a year, earning £12.71 per hour.

DBS checks are required to ensure safeguarding. You will clean toilets, nursey and reception areas, wipe desks and surfaces, and maintain high standards of hygiene across classrooms and communal areas.

About the Role

Based at Saint John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy in Derbyshire (DE7), you will be working 10.25 hours per week, Monday–Friday 15:30–17:30 (1day per week finish is 5:45PM) for 40 weeks of the year. You'll play a key role in maintaining cleanliness to a high standard that meets our standards and delights our customers.

Monday–Friday, 3:30PM–5:30PM (1day per week finish is 5:45PM), 40 weeks per year, 10.25 hours per week.

£12.71PerHour.

Enhanced DBS required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning toilets, Nursey & Reception Area
• Wiping down desks, offices, tables, windowsills, ledges, etc.
• General cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained

Who are we looking for?

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Enhanced DBS check is required– if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
