Job summary

Sense College Peterborough is recruiting a part-time cleaner to join our team. This role is 10 hours per week, Mon-Fri outside college operating hours—early mornings or evenings.

You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, manage supplies, and work safely within a disability-focused charity environment. Sense values teamwork, flexibility, and commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • To be able to work to a daily schedule.
  • Able to carry out cleaning tasks to a high standard.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to take and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest standards of cleanliness within Sense College.
  • Maintain a hygienic and tidy standard of cleanliness by vacuuming, dusting/wiping, polishing, emptying bins and disinfecting toilets and sinks.
  • Ensure adequate levels of cleaning materials, toilet rolls etc are maintained by refilling dispensers and informing personnel responsible for ordering when required.
  • Clean internal windows, skirting boards, windowsills, guide rails, etc.
  • Maintain a safe environment at all times.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ensure materials are stored appropriately.
  • Report any broken/damaged equipment and maintenance issues.
  • Ensure premises safety & security is maintained.
  • Carry out any other duties consistent with the grade of the post

Job description

Sense College Peterborough is currently recruiting for a part time cleaner to join our team. This is a part time role working 10 hours per week, Mon-Fri outside of college operating hours - Monday to Friday, to be completed outside of college operating hours (early mornings OR evenings)

Dutiesof Role
  • To provide the highest standards of cleanliness within Sense College.
  • To maintain a hygienic and tidy standard of cleanliness by vacuuming, dusting/wiping, polishing, emptying bins and disinfecting toilets and sinks etc as necessary.
